ABOUT DR. UDELLBrian D. Udell, MD FAAPDirectorMedical Director – Child Development Center of America, PAI have been practicing pediatric medicine for over 50 years. I was the first pediatrician to present medical research utilizing computers to record data and to calculate infant intravenous support. With my partners in Pediatrix Medical Group, we advanced treatment for infants throughout the United States, providing a new, improved level of in-hospital care for high risk newborns. Our Neonatal ICU has been visited by celebrities such as Chris Everett and Audrey Hepburn, I have appeared on numerous talk show programs, such as Donahue, and have given testimony to the US Congress about children with birth defects, HIV, and drug addicted infants. The newly emerging epidemic of Attention Deficit and Autism Spectrum disorders has inspired me to direct my training and practice to focus on problems with childhood development. Because there has been such a explosion of families who are affected by these challenges, I am in a unique position to help evaluate all of the available research and treatments, and to provide a combination of all of the proposed therapies so that my patients have the best chance to achieve their highest potential. Presently, Dr. Udell is practicing special needs pediatrics in Davie, FL where he has focused on children with developmental disabilities including ADHD, Autism, metabolic, allergic, immune, and complex medical conditions.HistoryDr. Udell held numerous positions at Pediatrix (now Mednax on NYSE), including Chief Medical Officer, Vice President of Business Development and Practice Integration, and President of Obstetrix Medical Group.From 2002 until 2008, he was a partner at Best Practices Medical Partners, LLC, and principle in the medical malpractice insurance company Applied Medico-Legal Solutions RRG. Their unique model brought relief to doctors throughout the country who were affected by the malpractice crisis, by developing methods to identify those professionals who practice state-of-the-art medicine.Since his days as a practicing newborn specialist, Dr. Udell has consistently demonstrated a commitment to improved medical care in America.
